According to USDA studies, an estimated 38 million Americans faced food insecurity in 2020, while up to 40% of the U.S. food supply is thrown away. Rescuing Leftover Cuisine’s mission is to prevent food from going to waste and redistribute to those who need it - to the tune of over 8 million pounds of food rescued since 2013.
